Belties are a sewing job using my Allbroock and Hashfield

Here is my excellent machine. It is an overlocker which is historic engineering designed in the steam age. I love this machine which achieves something like blanket stitch in a most magnificent manor.

To produce the Belted Galloway bulls I must sew the stripe. I use the machine, once part of the Moorlands factory for making flying jackets . Once upon a time it would have been run on a steam engine but I now run it on an electric engine which also uses a fly belt. Here are some pictures. When you stop and realise the brilliant engineering that has gone into just making this needle function it is amazing.
